The Final Call

Speculative Audio

Problem

Since 1970, global wildlife populations have plummeted by 73%.

A staggering 1 million species are facing extinction.

In a world drowning in distractions, how do we cut through the noise and make the deafening sound of extinction impossible to ignore?

Insight

Go to a place where people are closely listening...transport hubs. In train stations, airports and bus terminals people are paying close attention for an announcement they can't afford to miss: their final call.

Idea

You wouldn’t ignore your final call, so why ignore theirs?

Using announcement speakers at hubs of transport, ‘final calls’ will be announced, but not for travel announcements - for endangered species. Using the captive aural attention of commuters, remind them that as they wait for their final call, this may be the final call of yet another endangered species.

This isn’t just another announcement. It’s a final call people can't ignore.
